03 Jun Thai Fruit

Hello to whoever is reading this!
My name is Gwen and I like animals. We are currently travelling around South East Asia for 2 and a half and a half of a quarter months.
At the moment we are in North Thailand just outside the city of Chiang Mai. It took just over 24 hours to get here from our house and we used a car, taxi, p lane and taxi bus to get here. We had to catch 2 planes. The first one was 13 hours and the second was 3 hours. The plane felt like a train and a rollercoaster mixed together. I liked the mini tvs but not the plane food – it was not good!
The red taxi bus from the airport was very different to taxis at home. It looked like a red version of the ghostbuster vehicle. It had a small gate at the back instead of a door (so lots of air came in) and the seats were bright blue and had no seatbelts.
Where we are staying our room looks like it is on stilts and there is a cold pool which is good because everywhere is boiling hot, but it is not as hot as it gets as it is the wet season. The rain is warm here.
There are lots of plants. The fruits I have seen so far are: mangoes, limes, bananas and 1 jackfruit. I wasn’t sure if it was a durian fruit of jackfruit so I looked it up and it’s nobbles are smaller and rounded so it is a jackfruit. Durian fruit are famous because they a strong smell. I think it’s good but some people think it’s very bad. I love mango and I found out that Thailand is the 3rd biggest grower of mangoes so I hope to eat lots of them 😋
I haven’t been very well today so my mum has typed this for me but I will type myself when I feel better. I will tell you more soon.
Update: I feel better and ate lots of mango – it was really sweet and juicy. The best mango I’ve ever had!🥭
