Today is out last day in Luang Prabang. We hoped to visit Tat Kuang Si waterfalls again but my dad was unwell. We weren’t sure what to do but we were chatting some other tourists (from Scotland) who recommended a place where you could make your own jewellery called Garden of Eden. In order to get there we had to cross a really high bridge over the Nam Khan River with a narrow path. Whenever I looked down it made my legs go wobbly even though I’m not that scared of heights.
When we arrived we first had to pick out a piece of jewellery from their shop to copy and create. I chose a wire ring with a swirl on either side. Then we went through to the workshop which was a peaceful decking next to the river with pillows and a fan to keep us cool as well as a roof to protect us from the falling fruit! The lady helping me measured my ring size first but that took a while because I have chubby fingers 😆and then she showed me how to create my design. I had to bend the wire using pliers. She made it look easy but it wasn’t! I only managed to do small parts but she helped me a lot.
When we’re finished the staff gave us fruit platter full of fresh, sweet tropical fruits which was delicious 😋
I really enjoyed the afternoon and I’d definitely recommend it. I also feel really proud of what I created ❤️
