I'm currently travelling through SE Asia but still working, so please message if you need anything. My kids are writing a blog while we're away for friends and family - link below!

    Hospital

I’ve been really ill recently. It all started when we were leaving Krabi on Friday 25th July. When we went for breakfast I didn’t feel well but I hadn’t told anyone yet. Mum kept forcing to eat my breakfast though. I couldn’t eat so we took it away in a container but when I got outside the cafe I was sick in the drain. After that I felt a little bit better so I went in the taxi to Krabi bus station and then we caught a mini bus to Phuket. I slept for more of that (4 hours). By the end of the journey I needed to get off because I really didn’t feel well again. I made it to Phuket bus station and then I was sick again. I felt really bad and needed the toilet. I had diarrhoea and it was hurting a lot. I don’t remember this part but my mum told me I fainted on the toilet and she had to carry me on to the next bus to out hotel. I just slept.

When we got to the hotel I got to watch cartoons all afternoon and they were English which was the first time in a while I watched TV.

The next day I had the surf lessons and I felt ok but I didn’t want to eat much.

On Sunday my mum and dad were also sick and I started feeling bad again. I had more diarrhoea and stayed in bed with my dad all day.

On Monday 28th my mum made me drink a rehydration sachet but I was sick again. We had to move to a new hostel and I was ok for the journey but I didn’t feel good. The next hostel had a TV too with Prime so I watched films. My mum put a timer on and made me sip water every 10 minutes but sometimes I just couldn’t. I kept being sick and one of them was really green. I don’t remember much of this either!

I went in a taxi to the hospital with mum. I was sick in the taxi too but managed to hold it in long enough for mum to get a sick bag. I felt terrible but I have to admit it was quite fun going in a wheelchair. I didn’t like getting pricked in the hand though when they did blood tests and put an IV in. An IV is a bag of fluid attached to a tube that goes into the needle in your hand and it gets fluid in your body without going into your tummy so you’re not sick. I slept for most of the time but my mum said that I had a finger prick for a blood sugar test and my mum said I opened my eyes said ‘ow’ and then went back to sleep. The test showed my blood sugar was really low and another test showed I was seriously dehydrated. I had to drink two shot glasses of really sweet syrup and I hated it.

I slept a lot. I don’t remember much at all but I did see the sunrise which was really beautiful. The next morning I felt much better and I managed to drink some water and eat toast (which was more like bread). I was offered scrambled egg but it looked plastic and sweet potato but it looked disgusting so I didn’t eat that.

Me and mum got a taxi back to the hostel in the afternoon. It was really nice to see everyone. Noah had been sick while we were gone so Sylvie was glad to have company.

I gamed with my cousin Finn that night which was really cool because he knew how to play the game and we were really bad at it so he helped us.

I have still had more diarrhoea since then but I feel way better than I did. I have to be on a diet though. I have to eat really plain food and have soy milk (which is disgusting). But when I feel fine I get to eat loads of cakes and treats because I haven’t eaten much for 2 weeks so I need to put on weight 😍😋🍦🍫🍪
