    Cooking

Today at one pm we went to a cooking class. The cookery school was called PASSION FOOD (as in passionfruit). First we met our teacher who was called Boom 💥. She gave us a tour of a market and explained how to use the different foods and what meals they were used for.

We made fresh spring rolls which are clear so you can see what’s in them. You had to soak rice paper and then roll your ingredients in it (you can put edible flowers in if you want to make it look nice). They were fiddly and hard to make. We made 6 in total but 2 of mine broke. They were really filling so I only ate 3.

Next I made Pad Thai, which is a traditional Thai noodle dish which you can buy pretty much everywhere here! It tasted really good and I was pleased with how mine looked but we got full really quickly when we ate it.

After that we made Tom Kha soup. We had to make the whole thing in a pan which was very hot and when we added the coconut in the pan it spat boiling coconut milk at us. It tasted amazing! I would definitely recommend making it at home.

Following the soup we made green curry. I loved making green curry but Sylvie burnt hers so she shared with me. It was REALLY good!

The best bit was the drinks we made and the pudding we made. The drink we made is called Thai tea (you can have it hot or cold but we made it with ice this time). I made mine the sweetest you can make it by adding lots of condensed milk (I really enjoyed mine). The pudding we made is called mango sticky rice it’s made with mango and sticky rice it basically says in the name but I absolutely loved it because IIIIII LLLLLOOOVVVVEEEE MMMMAAAANNNNGGGGGOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
