I'm currently travelling through SE Asia but still working, so please message if you need anything. My kids are writing a blog while we're away for friends and family - link below!

    Koh Samui

On Sunday 6th July we went on a 4 hour ferry to Koh Samui. For the first 2 hours I listened to the last half hour of The Hobbit by J R R Tolkien. I really like the story because it has magical characters like dragons, elves and even giant spiders that eat people. Then we had to change to another ferry for the last 2 hours and I decided to listen to How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell.

When we got to Koh Samui It was beautiful with blue water, palm trees, jungles and mountains. We got a taxi to our bungalow (it is really nice here) and after that we went to a beach. When we got there the sand was white and the water was turquoise but when we got in the sea there was brown muddy gross stuff in the water everywhere it was disgusting!!

The next day we went to another beach to see if the slimy stuff was there too but luckily there wasn’t any so we got to go in the sea 😀 It was warm in the sea and even when you went really deep it didn’t go as cold as home. We went for lunch at Magic Restaurant (which was on the beach) and I had a cheeseburger and sprite and 7 chips. Afterwards we spent the rest afternoon in the sea swimming and playing and using our snorkels which was really fun but I let go of my mask and it drifted away 😢

We stayed at the beach until it went dark and then we went to the night market. After my dinner I went to a stall that sold mango smoothie and mango sticky rice for 100 baht which is £2.50. We looked at some places to stay near the beach because we really liked it and we’ve decided to stay at the place we had lunch next week when we’ve finished staying at the bungalow.

Today we were thinking of going to Silver beach but it’s really grey and cloudy with a chance of meatballs (or thunderstorms) so we’re all doing work instead. Hopefully we might go out later.
